October 2003: Strictly Midwest Movies and Short Hits Fest (SMMASH) Mid-American Premier Screening - Minneapolis, Minnesota Presented by Reel Cinema Entertainment, this festival celebrates the best in Midwestern Filmmaking. The festival ran October 19 - 23, and presented an awards banquet for filmmakers on October 26 benefiting the American Red Cross. Turquoise won the top prize -- the AUDIENCE TASTE AWARD -- and was also nominated for two additional awards (the coveted 'Tasties'). "Move over Oscars. Watch out Golden Globes. The New York International Independent Film & Video Festival World Premier Screening - Hollywod, California Largest Festival of its kind which ran September 18 - 28. Opening Night celebration was held in the Ballroom at the Wyndham Bel Age. Screening venue was at the premier art house in L.A., the Laemmle Fairfax Theatre in Hollywood (7907 Beverly Blvd). Screening date: Saturday September 20, 8pm. |

Film School Special Exhibition - Los Angeles, California Trailer and Gunfight Scene screened for audience of 250, mostly professional editors, at the 3rd Anniversary gathering of the Final Cut Pro Users Group.
